Forest City Industrialized Building System

Industrialized Building System, or IBS is the latest manufacturing method in which construction components are produced in modern factories before being delivered on the site for them to be put together.

In comparison to conventional techniques of construction, the industrialized building system standardizes the design process, as well as modernizing, digitizing, and automating the process of construction and production of building components. This enhances the product’s quality and makes the most efficient utilization of resources. It also offers the most efficient, safe and healthier alternative to conventional methods. Not only is this a more environmentally-friendly option, it would also provide training and employment opportunities in the evolving construction industry, promoting productivity and economic development in the region.

Through constant exploration and development the Chinese IBS has grown by leaps and leaps and. While at the same time China’s authorities have been active in encouraging IBS since it offers the possibility of solving problems of urbanization, job and resources, as well as pollution, increasing productivity and efficiency.

  • A modern prefabrication plant for industrial use is now operational.
  • A factory’s each year 260,000 cubic meters concrete, or 100 million sq m of construction area that require components. The world’s first monomer production plant.
  • A pre-built plant to be used in the factory integrated The main products are different types of construction structures, as well as non-structural building elements and a prefabricated rate that is higher than 75%.

To improve the efficiency of forest city construction and to ensure the sustainable growth of the economy of Malaysia, the government is actively encouraging using IBS. By utilizing the eco-system model to construction, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority has started to upgrade all production chains in order to increase the use of IBS beginning with the construction, material design and the supply chain. In 2014, nearly 1700 buildings, mainly government-owned, were using IBS within Malaysia.
